Daily work is being done to resolve this issue, we are trying to work as secretly as possible, since its publicity does not solve any problems. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on vacation and heads the ruling Civil Contract party’s proportional representation list of candidates for Armenia’s parliamentary elections on June 7, told this to reporters Thursday, regarding the return of Armenian captives in Azerbaijan.

"We are doing everything to resolve the issue of [Armenian] persons in [Azerbaijan] prison as soon as possible. The rhetoric that the three-headed war party [in Armenia] uses does not contribute to resolving the issue of these people. In Azerbaijan, they also follow the political rhetoric of Armenia and see what kind of vocabulary is used. (...). It is clear, isn’t it, that this is conflict rhetoric and will lead to certain manifestations. I don’t want to say that these political forces deliberately want to harm these people, but such rhetoric causes harm,” Pashinyan added.

"Now there are [Armenian] people there [in Azerbaijan] who have been imprisoned under other circumstances. I am convinced that their problem will also be resolved, but for this the climate of peace must be strengthened," the Armenian prime minister concluded.
