Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: In particular, will a street movement begin or not, and will the opposition organize that movement, refusing to recognize the results [of the June 7 parliamentary election] and take the [parliamentary] mandates?

This issue is especially discussed in authorities’ circles, and CC [i.e. Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party] members are very concerned about this. The authorities are ready to take any measure, even shed blood, to take power. But there are people in authorities’ circles who are well aware of the consequences of this, and realize that fabricated and usurped authorities are the weakest authorities, which depend on numerous circumstances.

They realize that if the opposition does not come to terms with the election results, decides not to take the [parliamentary] mandates and continues the struggle on the streets, creating a political crisis, according to those in power, sooner or later, external centers will take into account the situation, and they may not be forgiven for seizure of power by force.
