The State Revenue Committee of Armenia informs that the procedural preparations for the launch of direct trade between Armenia and Turkey have been completed as of Monday. This was carried out within the framework of the ongoing regulatory process since 2022 as part of confidence-building measures.

According to the new regulation that came into force in Turkey, Armenia can now be indicated as the final destination for goods exported from Turkey.

Previously, Turkey’s supplier organizations could not indicate Armenia’s economic entities as recipients in the export declaration submitted to Turkish customs authorities, and Armenia as the country of destination. As a result, the goods reached Armenia through intermediary entities in third countries—for example, Georgia—with the re-export form.

But from now on, Armenia’s economic entities can import goods from Turkey directly under their own name, and without intermediaries.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that direct trade between Armenia and Turkey in terms of customs, without re-registration, has become possible.
