Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, while speaking with reporters, refrained from condemning the destruction of Armenian historical and cultural monuments in Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh.

In response to a request to comment on the developments, Mirzoyan began to make judgments about the consequences of the protracted conflict, hostility, fresh wounds, and inertial phenomena.

“Do you mean to say [that] there are no words of hatred voiced from Armenia against Azerbaijan? From various forces, not from the authorities. Unfortunately, the same thing is happening in Azerbaijan,” Mirzoyan said.

According to him, peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, we are enjoying its “fruits,” but it is like a newborn baby that needs to be taken care of. He noted the contacts between Armenian and Azerbaijani civil society representatives and governments as positive steps.

Regarding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, the Armenian FM noted that, as already mentioned, it is in the phase of preparing documents.

As for connecting Armenia’s Meghri branch to the overall railway network, Mirzoyan showed reporters on a map the route through Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan exclave to Armenia’s Yeraskh village, and from there either northeast, or north through Gyumri, Armenia to Kars, Turkey. The implementation of the project will also require the construction of separate sections, for example, in Yeraskh and Armenia’s Akhurik village.

As for Azerbaijan's demands for the resettlement of 300,000 Azerbaijanis in Armenia, Mirzoyan said the accusations against the Armenian authorities that they are allegedly ready to agree to it were "knavery."
