Armenia will provide humanitarian aid to Lebanon. The relevant decision was made at the Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government on Thursday.

For this purpose, about 60 million drams (a little more than $150,000) have been allocated from the reserve fund of Armenia to the Ministry of Economy. Of this amount, 34 million drams (about $90,000) will be spent on the purchase of food products and sanitary and hygienic means, and 26 million drams (about $80,000) on the purchase of medicines.

“A humanitarian crisis has arisen as a result of military operations in Lebanon, under which conditions the demand for food products, as well as medicines, sanitary and hygienic items, and basic necessities has significantly increased,” the respective decision says.
