US President Donald Trump's current state visit to China is historic, Chinese President Xi Jinping said.

"This is a historic visit, a significant visit," Xi said Friday after walking with Trump in the garden of his Zhongnanhai residence in central Beijing.

The Chinese leader said that during the visit, the two sides agreed to build China-US relations based on constructive strategic stability, which can be considered an important achievement, and also achieved many results in terms of further developing cooperation.
