US President Donald Trump has called his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, his friend.

“He's a man I respect greatly, become really a friend,” the US president said of Xi Friday, following his visit to China.

Trump said that he has known Xi for almost 12 years and considers that a long time.

Also, the US president recapped his visit to China, calling it incredible.

Earlier in the day, Trump had said his talks with Xi Jinping were excellent.

Part of the visit was accompanied by a cultural program, CNN reports.
