Even while other motorcycle segments flounder, adventure bikes still fly off the shelves, and manufacturers are eager to answer the call for ever more versatile machinery. With so many adventure bikes currently on the market, the level of expectations for each new model is getting higher and higher. At times, expectations are almost too high for each new model. While adventure riding continues to capture the imagination, the bikes all remain some of the most misunderstood motorcycles in the entire industry. It is important to understand that an ADV is not a dirt bike. ADVs are street bikes made to work off-road, not the other way around.
