With the active mediation of Pakistan, it seems that the establishment of peace between our friend, neighbor Iran and our good partner the US is becoming possible; this is extremely important for Armenia. Prosperous Armenia Party chairman Gagik Tsarukyan wrote this on Facebook.

He added as follows: “When I note the name of Pakistan, among other countries, in the context of guaranteed peace, the [Armenian] authorities start to insult me.

French President [Emmanuel] Macron, after a long pause, called [Belarusian President Alexander] Lukashenko yesterday to discuss improving relations and other important issues. When I say that one can and should work with Belarus, and Armenia can receive serious benefits [from Belarus] in many issues, the [Armenian] authorities call me an ‘oligarch, a Belarusian spy.’

When I say that there’s a need to have normal, respectful working relations with the political forces and all influential circles of Russia so that we resolve the issues of our country and avoid senseless, harmful hostility, I am labeled as a pro-Russian.

Today, the whole world, starting with the US, wants to normalize relations with Russia in order to ensure their security and the well-being of their own people. We [i.e. Armenia] are finding ourselves in an economic war with Russia before our eyes, the consequences of which will be indescribably heavy for us. And the greatest losses will be borne by our people—ordinary, living, honest people who create with [their] righteous sweat.

Finally, what do you want from this country, from this people? After bringing so much war and loss, what more damage do you want to cause? What do you want to bring our country to with your ideas about the world? What other dangers are you ready to expose our people to for your petty political gain?
