When you think of classic grand tourers, Harley-Davidson inevitably comes to mind first. The brand pioneered the very idea, starting with the iconic Hydra-Glide back in the day. Then, heavyweights like the Duo-Glide and Electra Glide further enhanced the concept with factory-equipped advanced suspension, a windshield, and luggage designed for interstate journeys. Taking forward the tradition, the Road Glide Limited and the Street Glide Limited lead the pack, built to eat miles for breakfast.
With these modern Harley grand tourers, you get the perfect balance of performance, stability, and real-world comfort. The strong low-end grunt of the Milwaukee-Eight V-twin engine offers some of the best in the business. With that immense torque, a simple twist of the throttle provides effortless roll-on passing power, even when fully loaded. What’s more, the land yacht-like build gives serious weight and heft, offering you rock-solid stability at highway speeds.
More importantly, for comfort, an ergonomic layout is specifically tuned to prevent saddle fatigue. You get a relaxed riding posture, plush seats, and floorboards that let you shift your feet in long stretches. The full fairing and tall windscreen, meanwhile, protect you from the elements. Pillion comfort is top-notch, too, with a big seat and backrest from the rear trunk. With this foundation in place, let's dive deeper to unfold how Harley’s flagship makes long hauls an obsession.

For 2026, Harley gave its full dresser lineup a serious refresh, including the very top of the factory’s custom touring lineup, the CVO Street Glide Limited. Coming from the Custom Vehicle Operations division, it takes the already capable Street Glide Limited platform and pushes every aspect to premium levels. You get beefier Milwaukee-Eight V-twin grunt, exclusive styling, special colorways, extra comfort, upgraded mechanicals, and massive luggage space. On top of that, its sleeker sibling, the CVO Street Glide, offers the same custom finesse in a solo-bagger profile.
As a pinnacle of Harley’s touring, the CVO Street Glide Limited commands a premium, starting at $51,999. And, if you opt for the Citrus Heat colorway with blacked-out trim, it will cost you an extra $4,500. Naturally, that price point puts it squarely in luxury territory. The closest competition comes from the Indian Roadmaster Elite, which offers comparable opulence of exclusive custom paint and top-tier appointments starting at $41,999.
The centerpiece of the CVO Street Glide Limited is the massive Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121, the most advanced Harley powertrain. The liquid-cooled 1,977 cc V-twin uses an 11.4:1 compression ratio and a high-performance camshaft, fed by a generous airbox to maximize thermal efficiency. Harley added Variable Valve Timing to broaden the powerband, ensuring power across the rev range. Additionally, to keep heat away from you and your passenger, the cylinder heads are liquid-cooled along with redesigned air deflectors.
Out on the open road, the beast hammers out an incredible 139 pound-feet of torque at just 3,000 rpm alongside 115 horsepower at 4,500 rpm. This understressed output with low-end pull and mid-range acceleration is perfect for long highway days. Which means you don’t have to hunt through the gears of the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission to find power. When you add 45 mpg of claimed fuel economy and a six-gallon fuel tank, you get an easy highway range of 270 miles.
Tourers aren't supposed to be quick, but these American options disprove that notion emphatically
Built for cozy comfort on America's long open roads, the CVO Street Glide Limited uses a traditional steel double downtube cradle frame. With a substantial 103.3-inch length and 919-pound running weight, it leverages physical mass to deliver a planted ride. Meanwhile, the overall geometry ensures you with a balance of straight-line stability and predictable handling, featuring a 26-degree rake and 6.7 inches of trail, paired with a 64-inch wheelbase. Best of all, a manageable 26.4 inches of laden seat height offers easy flat-footing accessibility.
The high-end suspension and braking hardware keep you comfortable and in control. Up front, 1.9‑inch Showa inverted front forks and dual adjustable rear shocks with remote preload adjustment support exceptional ride quality. Bringing this behemoth to a halt, meanwhile, are dual 320 mm front discs clamped by radially mounted, four-piston Brembo calipers, paired with a 300 mm rear disc and a single axial caliper. Rounding off the package are CVO special lightweight 19-inch front and 18-inch rear split seven-spoke custom wheels.
This five-year-old Harley-Davidson CVO is a full-dresser with more cornering clearance than the most powerful Harley-Davidson CVO bagger.
The visual appeal is a given with the premium factory custom craft of CVO Street Glide Limited. Out on the open road, its iconic batwing fairing and large lower fairings work in tandem with a tall touring windshield to eliminate wind buffeting. Then the luxury is felt through the exclusive Carbide Collection, giving you custom-machined floorboards, a heel-toe shifter, highway pegs, and heated hand grips. At the same time, the touring comfort is pushed with a heated rider and passenger seat. Crucially, enhanced with sculpted padding and a removable rider backrest.
For storage needs, Harley added a newly redesigned Grand Tour Pak. The additions include integrated flush LED lighting along with electronic locking saddlebags and trunk with a total cargo capacity of 4.8 cubic feet. Coming to tech, you get a massive 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen running Skyline OS, complete with embedded navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay. Simultaneously, audio comes through a high-output Rockford Fosgate Stage II system with six 6.5-inch speakers located in the fairing, lowers, and Tour-Pak.
On the rider-aid front, ride-by-wire throttle provides five ride modes, two of which are customizable. Also, a six-axis IMU enables cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cornering electronically linked braking, cornering drag‑torque slip control, and vehicle hold control, keeping everything composed. Even though you get pretty much everything like cruise control, Harley still offers a catalog of optional accessories for you to upgrade the rig. Put it all together, and you realize that the CVO Street Glide Limited is not only built for easy cross-country road trips but actively makes you crave them.
