Speed. It is what makes the automotive world go round, so to speak. Look at any production car that is fast, and their performance is defined by two parameters: how fast it gets to 60 MPH from a standstill, and its top speed. Two figures are very common – 155 MPH, and the magical 200 MPH mark. It is a little different with motorcycles, with the Japanese gentlemen’s agreement limiting most high-speed products to 186 MPH (300 KPH). This wasn’t always the case, though: the first production bike to hit 200 MPH is historic, as is the first production bike to hit 100 MPH.
