Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Maria Zakharova, commenting on accusations that Moscow has allegedly launched a campaign against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, called for attention to his behavior towards his own citizens.

“Western media outlets have announced that Russia has launched a campaign, allegedly, as it was said there, against Pashinyan,” the Russian MFA spox said on Sputnik radio.

Zakharova called for attention to “those citizens of Armenia whom Pashinyan was shouting at today; to the woman who ‘should be grateful’ that, as he said, ‘didn't get her head smashed in the next-door toilet,’ to the man whose heart really bleeds; look at those shots, whose grandson was killed, and who came to the rally at Pashinyan’s call and asked a question, and he was accused of allegedly coming there for $550.”

“After all, there a limit to cynicism when they blame Russia for this situation? What does Russia have to do with it here?” the Russian MFA spox asked.
