Rosselkhoznadzor is introducing temporary restrictions on the import of flower products produced and dispatched from Armenia starting May 22, 2026, pending the completion of an inspection of greenhouse facilities and the analysis of its results.
As the agency reported, the decision was taken to ensure phytosanitary safety and protect Russia's export potential.
Despite the guarantees provided by Armenia's Food Safety Inspection Body, quarantine organisms prohibited for Eurasian Economic Union member states continue to be detected. According to Rosselkhoznadzor, during the inspection of 96.2 million units of flower products, 135 violations were recorded, accounting for approximately 77% of the total number of detections for 2025.
