The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) records problems with supplies from Armenia not only with flowers, but also with vegetables and fruits, Rosselkhoznadzor head Sergey Dankvert said on the air of Vesti newscast.
“The problem is that we have problems not only with flowers, but also with vegetables and fruits,” Dankvert said.
He noted that inspections of respective Armenian enterprises will continue for another week. “We will make a decision based on the results of this inspection,” the Rosselkhoznadzor head added.
Dankvert noted that Rosselkhoznadzor is in contact with Armenia’s inspection body to resolve these issues.
Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor reported that, starting from Friday, temporary restrictions would be imposed on the import of flowers from Armenia. The agency had noted that, despite the fact that the Armenia's food safety inspection body had provided guarantees, the detection of quarantine facilities for the Eurasian Economic Union continues.
