Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: According to our information, the armed forces have begun listing servicepersons by their places of residence, and have warned that they will indiscriminately check whether they and their family members participated in the June 7 [parliamentary] elections.

This fact has raised a wave of discontent, as they have also canceled the leaves registered for those days. They have specifically warned and threatened: it will be bad for those [servicepersons] who do not participate in the elections and their families.

According to our source, at this point they have not yet said [to the servicepersons] who to vote for, but that is clear without saying [it]. One thing is not clear: if people go to the polls, what guarantee do the authorities have that they will vote for them, and not the opposition?

People are not as naive as before to think that they will be followed by secret video cameras and find out who the civil servant who entered the voting booth chose.
