This government is creating a situation in which the security of Armenia should depend on the president of Azerbaijan. The second president of Armenia and “Armenia” bloc’s candidate for prime minister, Robert Kocharyan, stated this during an election campaign meeting with the residents of Kasakh village Wednesday.

Kocharyan touched upon the issues of concern to the population, such the closure of schools and passport offices, and pledged to cancel all those decisions that create inconvenience for people at every step.

He said that one of the main notions of the "Armenia" bloc is security. "Security must be guaranteed. The government is creating a situation when the country's security will depend on the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. If you think that he does not sleep and thinks about our security day and night, then you are deeply mistaken.”

Also, Robert Kocharyan noted that when people criticize Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, he thinks that they sent these people, while this is not the case. “Whoever votes for Nikol, votes for Aliyev,” Kocharyan stated, adding that Pashinyan gathers his own kind around him, thereby creating a negative atmosphere.

Kocharyan positively assessed the results of the ongoing election campaign in Armenia, but spoke negatively about the ruling party’s style of work, emphasizing the artificial escalation of the situation, threats, and the use of administrative resources.

As for the “Armenia” bloc, Robert Kocharyan recorded a clear increase in interest and positive view toward it.
