Russia cannot ignore Armenia's statements about its aspiration to join the European Union (EU), which has turned into a hostile military and political bloc for Moscow, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk told reporters.

"Of course, we [i.e. Russia] cannot ignore this, especially in the current situation, when the European Union is actually turning from an economic integration union into a military and political union that does not hide its hostile attitude towards our country. We cannot ignore this," Overchuk said.
