A delegation led by the vice president of the Ile-de-France region of France, Stephane Bodet, accompanied by French ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies, on Wednesday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan.

Bodet laid a wreath at the memorial commemorating the victims of the genocide, after which the other members of the delegation placed flowers at the eternal flame and observed a minute of silence to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Then, the guests approached the memorial wall, where small jars filled with soil taken from the graves of a number of intellectuals, political and public figures who raised their voices in protest against the Armenian Genocide are placed.

The delegation also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. And at the end of the tour, Stephane Bodet signed the museum-institute’s book of honored guests.
