According to a report received by the Investigative Committee of Armenia from the police, unidentified individuals, without the permission provided by law, seized data stored in a computer network that was not intended for general use and was transmitted using computer communication means, and, motivated by hatred and intolerance, during a live broadcast, combined with hooliganism, distributed a video of a threat containing a real threat of assassination against the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan in connection with his state and political activities, due to political views. Kima Avdalyan, the press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, wrote about this on Facebook.
“A criminal proceeding has been initiated on the cases of preparation for murder, carrying out computer sabotage, and illegal circulation of firearms and ammunition by a group of individuals. An investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators,” Avdalyan added.
A video was circulated online in which several masked individuals address PM Pashinyan in the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) dialect and in abusive language. “Nikol, you will answer, we know where you walk, which streets you pass through. We will ‘water’ you, Nikol,” one of them says, while the others are holding, presumably, machine guns.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday addressed the published video during an election campaign rally in Yerevan’s Arabkir administrative district and responded with harsh language: “Look at these bastards! So, they have put on masks, as if they are strong guys.” Also, Pashinyan urged them to voluntarily surrender to law enforcement, and added that he would find them one by one and kill them.
