Andranik Tevanian, chairman of the "Mother Armenia" party, has been detained. This was announced by the party.

"After the CEC gave its consent to deprive Tevanian of his liberty, Tevanian voluntarily appeared at the Investigative Committee. However, after a lengthy wait, he was not granted entry into the IC. Instead, masked NSS officers, to stage a show of force, handcuffed him and literally walked him two steps," the party stated.

The court hearing on the matter of selecting a remand measure will take place on May 23 at 12:00 at the court of general jurisdiction of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts.
