Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have begun talks in Beijing.

During his visit to China, Putin is accompanied by five Russian deputy prime ministers, eight ministers, as well as representatives of the head of state's administration and big business.

The leaders of the two countries plan to discuss the full range of bilateral cooperation, as well as key regional and international issues.

Putin on Wednesday arrived at the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing. Xi Jinping personally welcomed the Russian president. The leaders of the two countries greeted each other with a handshake in Tiananmen Square. The welcoming ceremony was attended by an honor guard, an orchestra, and children holding flowers and Russian and Chinese flags.
